About us

This site contains the observations and reflections of Carleton University students undertaking archaeological fieldwork around the world in the summer of 2016. The students are gaining archaeological training and experience at field schools in a variety of different contexts and countries: at several sites in Italy, England, and Wales.

Through the Greek and Roman Studies Program at Carleton, they can also gain course credit towards their academic degrees in many different departments.

Over the course of their field program, each student is asked to write two blog entries: one towards the beginning of their time on site, and one in their final few days on site.

For blogs from students' fieldwork in the summer of 2015, see the Archives tab.
