This site contains the observations and reflections of Carleton University students undertaking archaeological fieldwork around the world in the summer of 2015. The students are gaining archaeological training and experience at field schools in a variety of different contexts and countries: Portugal, Spain, Italy, and Canada.

Through the Greek and Roman Studies Program at Carleton, they are also gaining course credit towards their academic degrees. The students have many different specializations, majoring in Greek and Roman Studies, History, History and Theory of Architecture, and Industrial Design, to name but a few.

Over the course of their field program, each student is asked to write two blog entries: one towards the beginning of their time on site, and one in their final few days on site.
