How I met the (sometimes conflicting) design requirements of the project

- by using bifacial modules I was able to deal with space restrictions while still maintaining good energy output

- since the SOR called for both green roofing and solar PV to take up 50% roof space, I went with a solar canopy design which allows green roofing to be placed underneath. This opened up the space to multiple uses besides power generation or green roofing. It also fulfilled the Zibi requirement of habitable rooftops and providing an outdoor recreational area.

- structures already on the rooftop (stairwells and a gym) obstructed the path I would have chosen for my solar array. I therefore worked with the new building design team to come up with a solution that incorporated both design visions.
