Introduction

Hi, my name is Calla Lily I am a second-year student in BGInS, specializing in Global Media and Communications. In terms of academics, I am interested in urban planning

(I actually transferred from Ryerson’s School of Urban & Regional Planning), media, politics, and art. Right now I am working towards a career in cross-cultural consulting in the media and curatorial fields. I am passionate in working on environmental and social justice initiatives, particularly in sustainability, sensible drug policies and decriminalization. Some of my hobbies include visual arts, spending time outdoors, and playing volleyball. I’m really looking forward to this course because I think it will be valuable to learn more about how we can implement change in our communities. I also think that it fits well in my communications degree regarding engagement–whether it be in media and advertising, politics, grassroots projects, or curating and events planning.
